Mindful MeasuresSouth Trinidad

Helping young minds navigate learning, emotion, and the digital world.

An educational psychology practice offering psycho-education for parents, neurodiversity support for children, and music-based emotional development that meets each young person where they are.

01About

A practice built on patience, curiosity, and care.

A quiet moment of a caregiver and child by a sunlit window with a notebook.

Mindful Measures is the practice of Seve Cedeno, an educational psychologist based in South Trinidad. His path began in Toronto with a Bachelor of Psychology and continues today with a Master of Educational Psychology in progress here at home, an arc that has shaped a warm, international perspective on how children learn and how families cope.

Progress rarely arrives in a straight line. It arrives through steady conversation, through music that finds words when speech cannot.

Fifteen years inside classrooms and a decade in mental health have taught Seve that the right diagnosis, explained in the right language, changes everything. So does a parent who feels truly seen alongside their child.

The work is built for families who are often underserved: neurodivergent children, adolescents navigating anxiety and the pull of screens, and parents looking for a trusted guide to understand what their child is really going through.

Mission
02Services

Five ways we support children, adolescents, and the parents who love them.

Each engagement begins with a conversation about your child and what a good week could look like. From there, we shape the work.

01

Individual Academic Support

One to one lessons for children with special needs, shaped around how each child actually learns. Sessions build confidence at a pace that respects the child, not the syllabus.

02

Music-Based Emotional Development

Private piano lessons designed for children with special needs, using rhythm and sound to open communication and steady the nervous system. Music becomes a bridge into language, emotion, and connection.

03

Digital Wellness Coaching

Support for adolescents navigating anxiety, low mood, and the weight of constant social media. Together we build gentler patterns with technology and language for the feelings underneath.

04

Parent Psycho-Education

Clear, unhurried guidance for parents making sense of neurodevelopmental and learning diagnoses. You leave each session understanding what your child is experiencing and what to try next.

05

Emotional Regulation Coaching

For adolescents learning to name, hold, and move through big feelings. We practice grounded, practical skills that carry into school, friendships, and family life.

Not sure where to start

A short first conversation is often the clearest way to know which door to open.

FocusMusic and Neurodiversity

When words are hard, music makes a way.

For children with learning differences, the piano is more than an instrument. It is a steady, patient partner that meets a child in the room they can already reach.

  • 01Helps children feel calm
  • 02Uses rhythm and sound to support learning
  • 03Reduces anxiety
  • 04Encourages eye contact and communication through shared play
